4-star endorsement reacts to Brian Kelly’s firing
LSU football started the search for a new coach on Sunday evening Brian Kelly got fired. The Tigers are wrapping up four seasons under Kelly who leaves with a 34-14 record in Baton Rouge. But will recruits follow Kelly out of LSU as well?
Shooting the bus leaves ripple effects on the college football recruiting trace Penn State is already facing a mass exodus of recruits following the firing of James Franklin.
One four-star commitment has already spoken 247Sports’ Tom Loiu on LSU’s decision for Kelly. Safety Aiden Hall shared these words that will grab the attention of Tiger fans.
“I’m still 1,000% committed,” the New Orleans prospect from Edna Carr High School told Loi.
It’s the first sign of hope since Kelly. But are there others?
The 5-star LSU commit also talks about Brian Kelly’s decision

Halla is a valued promise for the year 2026. But Five Star was another person who became famous after the move.
Class of 2027 quarterback Elijah Haven spoke with Loy after LSU’s decision. Haven shared if he’s still willing to listen to the Tigers.
“It’s definitely hard to see Coach Kelly go. If LSU wants to continue the conversation, me and my family are more than open to that,” Haven told a recruiting insider.
Haven will be big for the next Tigers coach to retain. He is a highly regarded local talent from Baton Rouge and the state’s top prospect for his degree.
Names like former Penn State head coach James Franklin and Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin are early substitute names for Kelly. Whoever is next has a big decision to make for both the 2026 and ’27 classes.
Kelly built the 11th-ranked ’26 class in the country by 247Sports with 13 verbal commitments. Haven is LSU’s only ’27 pledge as of now. Kelly’s successor will either keep the current 2026 squad and add to it, or blow it up and find his own players. But the Hall of Fame star has made it clear he has no plans to back out of his commitment to LSU.
