Former Yankees, Dodgers reliever draws interest from ‘8 teams’


The well-traveled relief pitcher is generating a lot of interest this Major League Baseball offseason. Ex New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers Reliever Tommy Kahnle has eight teams that want to talk to him about the deal, according to the New York Post.

The market for relief pitchers is starting to pick up steam, and Kahnle is one of the names with a lot of interest. Huler spent the 2024 season pitching for the Yankees. He posted 2.11 while appearing in 50 games for the club. He could certainly stay in the Bronx if there is mutual interest.

Kahnle is a true baseball veteranwho will certainly add leadership and experience to any clubhouse. He spent time with the Yankees, Dodgers, Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies. It is uncertain at the time of writing which eight teams want to talk to the reliever.

The pitcher is currently a free agent.

Kahnle pitched well for the Bronx Bombers in their run to the 2024 World Series. He picked up the defense and allowed just 10 earned runs over 42 innings of work.

In 2024, the veteran healer saw the mound more often than he had in years. His 50 games are the most a reliever has had since 2019, when he appeared in 72 games. Kahnle also pitched for the Yankees during that season.

The reliever has a career record of 10-14, with a 3.47 lifetime ERA. He has picked up 8 saves in his MLB career, which began back in the 2014 season. That year he played for the Rockies.

If the Yankees lose himNew York will have to find a way to replace him. The Bronx Bombers are looking to get back to the World Series after a stellar season in 2024. New York lost the championship series to the Dodgers in five games.

Time will tell where Kanle ends up.
