Ribas vs Dern full card results

The world’s leading MMA promotion recently wrapped up its first event of the year, UFC Vegas 101. The event lived up to the hype and had some bit everything. The main event was a real showcase for grappling fans on the display as Mackenzie Dern topped Amanda Ribas to secure the win.

After Dern took the first round with a well-timed takedown, she lost the second round when Ribas turned the tables, taking her down and maintaining control for most of the round. In the third round, the Brazilian was hit again, but Dern showed her superiority on the ground, working from behind. She eventually managed to set up an arm bar and finish her opponent in the waning seconds of the third round.

The victory brought Dern, two victories in a row. She also earned one of the Performances night bonuses at UFC Vegas 101. The loss likely won’t drop Ribas significantly in the rankings, but she is now on a two-fight losing streak.
