Kings’ Malik Monk signs shoe deal with Peak
Malik Monk has entered a new phase of his NBA career when it comes to the shoes he will wear in games.
Monk has signed a multi-year contract with shoe brand Peak. That’s a a popular Chinese shoe brand whose mission is to bring its customers stylish, functional and comfortable products that will help them maintain peak performance, push their limits and surpass the competition.
Monk won’t be the first NBA player to sign with Pick. He would be the seventh, following such as Jose AlvaradoAndrew Wiggins, Dwight Howard, Tony Parker, Matthew Dellavedova and Lou Williams.
Earlier, the Kings star joined the Nike brand. He wore their shoes throughout his collegiate career at Kentucky, signing with them after being selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the 11th pick in the NBA draft.
Monk made the announcement on his social media accountsexpressing excitement about his new venture into the shoe game.
“LET’S MEET AT THE TOP.” I’m excited to start this new journey with PEAK Basketball #PeakSport,” he said in the announcement.

Malik Monk has established himself as a reliable sixth man during his time with the Sacramento Kings, staying the same this season.
Monk is averaging 17.5 points, 5.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting 43.8% from the field, including 33.9% from the field. He scored in double figures 28 times, with 20 or more points on 13 occasions.
He entered his prime with the highest points average of his career so far. He also became an increasingly frequent starter, making 20 appearances. The team is 12-8 with him on the first unit.
Sacramento is 21-20 this year, entering the midway point of the campaign in ninth place in the Western Conference. They are on pace to make the playoffs to qualify for the final two seeds in the NBA playoffs.
The Kings prepare for a two-game homestand, hosting the Washington Wizards on Sunday at 9:00 PM and the Golden State Warriors on January 22nd at 10:00 PM ET.
