Kevin Durant buys a minority stake in Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League
NBA star Kevin Durant He bought a minority share in the winner of the Champions League Paris Saint-Germain, the French football club said Friday. Qatar Sports Investment, PSG majority shareholder, signed an investment agreement and a strategic partnership with Durant, said the club in the statement. Financial conditions have not been discovered.
The announcement comes in the middle of the talks between the NBA, FIBA and other entities on the potential of adding a new league in Europe. Durant will provide expertise in a strategy with more PSG ports, including a potential expansion in basketball, the club said.
“Under the conditions of the partnership, Durant – through its media and investment company with central room, based on a long-term business partner Rich Kleiman – a direct minority in the club,” the PSG statement said.
