The Heat are suspending Jimmy Butler for two more games because of the missed team summer
The Miami Heat are suspended Jimmy Butler two games due to missing the team flight on Wednesday, according to ESPN report.
Butler had planned to meet with the Heat in Milwaukee, where they are scheduled to play the Bucks on Wednesday night, but the team told him to stay home during their two-game road trip, according to the report.
This is the second time Butler has been suspended this season. Butler returned from a seven-game suspension on Jan. 17 and has scored just 39 points in three games since.
Butler requested a trade from Miami earlier this month, and the Heat are working to move on from the six-time All-Star before the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
Butler averaged 17 points. 5.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in 25 games for the Heat this season. The Heat will return from a two-game road trip on Monday.
The Heat (21-21) are currently ninth in the Eastern Conference.
This is a developing story.
