Lakers’ LeBron James dunks Jonas Valanciunas with a power post

On Tuesday evening, LeBron James gave the fans another game to add to his still-growing highlight reel despite turning 40 not even a month ago. The Los Angeles Lakers The Star, in the second quarter of what would be the eventual 111-88 victory over the Washington Wizards, threw a mean poster at Jonas Valanciunas after a lob pass by Austin Reaves — riling up Bronie James in the process.

At this point, there are no more surprises when it comes to the athletic feats James can pull off. But at the same time, it is quite unfathomable that he can still defy gravity the way he does even though he’s 22 years into his NBA career — especially when he’s coming off a long trip where he made a quick detour all the way to Atlanta to catch his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes win a national championship.

“The Hangover Game! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😱. This is 40👑,” James captioned his post on his official Instagram account.

Just imagining the physical cost of flying all the way to Atlanta and then back to Los Angeles to take on the Wizards is exhausting, but James is no ordinary man. Maybe he’s hungover from the time difference and overall fatigue from the trip he just went through, but it wasn’t obvious in the way he made Valanciunas a screensaver.

James may admit he’s close to calling it quits and is already thinking about what life holds for him once he retires, but it’s clear that The Lakers star has plenty of fuel in the tank. And fans better schedule James’ games to watch because they better not take his greatness on the hardwood for granted, because we may never see someone as great as him again.

There may be obvious signs of decline when looking at LeBron James’ game under a microscope. His results are down and it’s clear that he can’t jump as high as he used to. But when someone like the Lakers star starts off with such a high level of athleticism, it just means that even in his broken state, he can still jump off buildings like the best of them.

In addition to Tuesday night’s nasty poster jam, James also led the Lakers in a convincing victory, recording 21 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists in the 23-point win.
