Doc Rivers takes over for Coffey in Milwaukee

Arriving in the “training camp” with the “Prikaz 9” contract, the 28-year-old winger managed to transform the trial and will sign for a year at least a veteran.
In Wisconsin he found Doc Riverswho launched him into the NBA during his rookie season with the Clippers, 2019/20. After six practices in Los Angeles, Amir Coffey has since gained experience in the role of an impact wing coming off the bench, and they expect him in the same mission in Milwaukee.
Andre Jackson Jr. preferred Tyler Smith
The last spot on the list was then decided between the interior Tyler Smithdrafted in 2023 and a 2/3 sophomore position Andre Jackson Jr. and the latter was chosen. If we have seen very little of Tyler Smith with the first team (23 games played with an average of five minutes of play), the explosive Andre Jackson Jr. has been used much more over the past two seasons, with 124 games played, including 51 as a starter.
Tyler Smith still benefited from a “guaranteed” contract, but Milwaukee had until yesterday to cut it without his salary appearing in the “salary cap.” Andre Jackson, for his part, only had $800,000 insured and thus his $2.2 million per season contract will be honored. Prior to Tyler Smith, Milwaukee had already made the cut Chris Livingstonsecond round of the 2023 draft.
Once Tyler Smith’s departure is confirmed and the picks to retain Amir Coffey and Andre Jackson are confirmed, Milwaukee will then be ready to attack the season, with 15 guaranteed contracts and three two-way contracts.
