Kevin Durant’s wild finish to his Rockets debut against the Thunder has fans in awe

All eyes were on Kevin Durant as he debuted for the much-anticipated Houston Rocketswho took over Oklahoma City Thunder at the Payko Center on Tuesday.
It was an early challenge for the two-time Finals MVP, who was traded by the Phoenix Suns to the Rockets in the offseason. It is also worth noting that Durant was against his former teamwho held his ring ceremony before tip-off.
The Rockets and Thunder put on a cinematic battle as the game went into double overtime. Oklahoma City forced the first overtime, 104-104, after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s jumper, as Houston fought back, 115-115, after Alperen Sengun’s dunk.
When the smoke cleared, the Thunder escaped by the skin of their teeth, 125-124, on Gilgeous-Aleknader free throws.
The fans were absolutely thrilled with the wild ending.

“This game is great. What a start to the season! We are Roundball Rocking it the *** up,” Simmons wrote.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who had a a powerful message for Grom during the ring ceremonyhe had 35 points, five rebounds and five assists. Meanwhile, Durant finished with 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Oklahoma City next faces the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, while Houston takes on the Detroit Pistons on Friday.
