LA picks up two runs for TNF amid quarterback injuries

The Los Angeles Chargers aim to bounce back from an ugly loss to the Indianapolis Colts with a big win over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football.

The game is hours away and many injury reports are being finalised. The Vikings are seeing a comeback Aaron Jones returns to the team after IR. Minnesota continues to deal with injuries as do the Bolts.

Los Angeles hopes Joe Alt is active for this game, and the same can be said for teammate Trey Pipkins. The offensive line is very tight, and the offensive group and team can be better when healthy. Before the game, the Bolts picking up two running backs to the roster in place of the top three injured running backs: Najee Harris, Omarion Hampton and Hassan Haskins. It’s really a shame that the offense can never be fully loaded with a bunch of starters.

“Chargers elevated RB Nyheim Hines and Jarrett Patterson from the practice squad for tonight’s game against the Vikings.”

Nyheim Hines is a veteran quarterback with a history playing with the Colts and Buffalo Bills. Against the Miami Dolphins a few weeks ago, his 40-yard kickoff return put the Bolts in position to win in the end. Hynes will be the backup to Kimani Vidal on Thursday. Hampton is a few weeks away from returning from IR, and the Bolts won’t rush him back.

Hines did not receive a transfer last week against the Colts. Haskins got one carry but hurt his hamstring in the loss. Vidal finished with just 20 yards on nine carries. If the Bolts want to win this game tonight, they need to turn the game on. Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores will blitz Justin Herbert all night.
