Trevon Diggs in Week 8 against the Broncos with a concussion

Corner Trevon Diggs played in six of the seven available games so far this season for Dallas Cowboys. He missed his first contest in the team’s 44-22 Week 1 win over the Washington Commanders after suffering a concussion in an accident at his home. Now, it looks like he’s set to miss another game.
The Cowboys released their latest injury report and ruled out Diggs off match week 8 against the Denver Broncos, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Dallas will officially be without their 27-year-old cornerback for one more game.
“Cowboys rule out Trevon Diggs (concussion).”
Other players who were ruled out in addition to Diggs were DeMarvion Overshawn, Shavon Revel and Donovan Wilson. Every player named is on the defensive side of the ball, leaving the Cowboys with several holes on defense against the Broncos.
Rookie cornerback Triquez Bridges should be expected to play in the absence of Trevon Diggs. Not having a two-time Pro Bowler in the lineup is less than ideal for Dallas. Especially considering he’s played pretty well when healthy, despite not recording a single turnover or pass deflection. In the six games he has played so far this season, Diggs has recorded 18 combined tackles (13 solo).
The missed days give Diggs a little more time to potentially get healthy until Week 9 when the Cowboys take on the Arizona Cardinals. However, we’ll see how that plays out, as head coach Brian Schottenheimer has already claimed it is no intention to place Trevon Diggs on IR.
Dallas kicks off against Denver on Sunday at 4:25 PM EST. It will be a road game for the Cowboys as they hope to improve to a 4-3-1 record against a tough Broncos team.
