Jalen Duren ejected after a collision with the Rockets’ Amen Thompson

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duran could be in the good relationship with the organization. However, this is not the case with Houston Rockets forward Amen Thompson. That was on full display Friday when Duren was ejected for fighting with Thompson.

The fracas led the arbitrator to say “grab your guys” on replay, per Pistons Talk.

In transition, the ball was lobbed to Duren. As he went for the shot, Thompson wrapped his head around him. After the whistle blew, Duren pushed Thompson back which led to the breakup.

Duren played a total of 12 minutes before being ejected. Along the way, he scored 6 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Duren is entering his fourth season with the Pistons. He averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last year while averaging 20.0 minutes per game. In March, Duren played in a game when he The Pistons and Timberwolves had a falling out.

Although Duren was not ejected at the time, his teammates Isiah Stewart, Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser were.

The Pistons are coming off a 115-111 season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Duren is inside contract extension negotiationsspecifically asking for $30 million a year.

It’s not a complete departure from how Jalen Duren usually is with the Pistons

When it comes to Duren, he is rather mild-mannered. He can be intense on the court and plays with a lot of passion. Off the field, Duren comes across as very friendly and loyal.

In the throws of the game, Duren does not give up. He is very hard working, loud and likes to carry fire. Anyone standing in the way of that, Duren would not stand for it.

In March 2024, Duren is kicked out of the game against the Dallas Mavericks for getting into it with PJ Washington.

When he is away from the game, Duren is a family man and he likes to give back community
