Draymond Green clowns Santi Aldama after being called a Flagrant 1 foul
Draymond Green’s mission in life is to make life hell for his opponents. On Monday evening, with Golden State Warriors hosting the Memphis Grizzlies, Green certainly gave Santa Aldama the upper hand. With 3:48 left in the third quarter, Green was whistled for a flagrant foul after riding on Aldama’s back and held him down as the Grizzlies’ big man attempted a layup in transition.
Green’s reputation may have contributed to the officials’ decision to raise the foul to a flagrant. The decision clearly didn’t sit well with the Warriors, though he felt vindicated after Aldama missed both free throws. In fact, Green was so happy that he was hilariously jumping past Aldama, clearly taunting the Grizzly forward after he failed to capitalize on a golden scoring opportunity.

All’s well that ends well for the Warriors. They handled the Grizzlies fairly easily, pulling out a 131-118 victory after starting the third quarter brightly, and Green, through his struggles, finished with seven points, four rebounds and 10 assists on the night as Golden State recorded its third win of the season in four games.
There is certainly a lot of history between the Warriors and the Grizzlies. The two teams met in the 2022 NBA playoffs, and head coach Steve Kerr was memorably angry after Dillon Brooks stripped Gary Payton II and injured him on a reckless defensive play.
Since then, the Grizzlies have struggled; they lost in the first round of the playoffs in 2023 and 2025, and endured a nightmare campaign in 2024. Meanwhile, the Warriors are still a strong contending team, and could be on their way to their best title challenge since winning it all in 2022.
Warriors defeat Grizzlies with strength in numbers

Curry had to jump in for 42 and 35 points in the Warriors’ last two games, but he took a back seat again on Monday as the Dubs did it even without him being at his most dominant.
Five different players scored in double figures for the Warriors, led by Jonathan Cumminga’s 25 points. Joining Cummings in the 20-point club on Monday will be Brandin Podziemski (23), Jimmy Butler (20) and Moses Moody (20). Moody has only played his second game of the season and is already in good form.
The Dubs will continue their strong run tomorrow night when they face the Los Angeles Clippers at home.
