Jason Kidd keeps it 100% real on Klay Thompson’s drop

DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks were dealt an early blow against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, ace Anthony Davis exited the game in the first quarter with an apparent injury. At halftime, Davis was officially ruled out for the remainder of the contest with lower left leg pain. However, the Mavs managed to hold on and beat the Pacers 107-105. Klay Thompson still kept fighting on Wednesday night.

The 35-year-old entered the game averaging just 9.0 points on 34.2 percent shooting from the field and 28.6 percent from three. Things didn’t improve against the Pacers either, as the future Hall of Famer scored just five points while shooting 2-10 from the field. He also hit just one of his six three-point shots.

“He has to keep shooting, he’s a shooter,” Jason Kidd he said for Thompson after the game. “He’s been in this league for a long time. It’s for him to continue to look like this. He’s getting great, they’re just not hitting him right now.”

At the end of the day, Thompson will get the benefit of the doubt. He is a four-time champion and one of the greatest scorers the game of basketball has ever seen. The fans are starting to get impatienthowever. With Max Christie shooting the ball well, one has to wonder if Thompson is confident of staying in the starting rotation all season.

Whether he is or not, Thompson will always be known for his three-point shooting prowess. However, the Mavs may have a tough decision to make if he continues to struggle this year.

The Mavericks officially ended the match with a score of 4-1. Dallas will play their next game on Saturday in Mexico City against the Detroit Pistons.
