Drake has some father-son time at the Raptors-Rockets game

Drake had father-son time tonight at Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors the game. The rapper and his son Adonis were seen courtside enjoying the game.
The Toronto-raised rapper is a die-hard Raptors fan, and The Rockets recently signed Kevin Durant — a close friend of Drake’s — in blockbuster sales over the summer, so it’s no surprise that this game is where the emcee decided to make an appearance. The rapper has been a global ambassador for the NBA team since 2013. However, this game did not go in Drake’s favor as the Rockets defeated the Raptors 139-121.
Drake gets real about his rumored sports “curse.”
Was the “Drake Curse” in effect tonight? The rapper has been accused of influencing teams to lose games, and there is some evidence to support this claim. In 2016, the Golden State Warriors lost in the NBA Finals, which the rapper attended. In 2018, Conor McGregor lost his match against Khabib Nurmagomedov when the rapper was present at the weigh-in, and he was also accused of swearing at Serena Williams, who he was rumored to be dating at the time she lost in the US Open semifinals that year. Earlier this year, Drake reflected on the supposed curse.
“I feel like I don’t play sports, whether I picked the wrong team or not, if I could go out there and win for all your favorite teams, I would,” Drake said in a video for his online casino partnership, Stake.
“Drake’s curse is funny to me,” he continued. “First of all, the Toronto Raptors are NBA champions. If there was a Drake Curse, Kawhi (Leonard) would never have hit that shot, we would never have beaten the Warriors. There is no Drake Curse, but it’s funny.”
The Raptors’ next game is on Friday (October 31st) against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Rockets will play the Boston Celtics on November 1st.
