Zach LaVine keeps Chicago in his heart

The Bulls win against Kraljevo marked the return of Zach LaVine on the floor of the United Center. The former slam dunk winner was transferred last February, and Sacramento had already traveled to Illinois a month earlier. Therefore, the gathering was on Wednesday evening.

“I feel at home”, reacts Zach LaVine scored 30 points in his team’s loss. “I love Chicago. It’s had its ups and downs. I’ve raised my family here. I’ve had great moments, but also darker moments. This is where I became a man.”

The All-Star quarterback was greeted by his former franchise with a video in the first quarter and a standing ovation from the crowd. “I know I did a lot of good things in Chicago. I just wish I had won more here.”adds the player.

I am pleased with the good start to the season by the Bulls

The truth is that in seven full seasons, and a total of 416 games, Zach LaVine failed to make Chicago a strong place. He established himself as a two-time All-Star, but the Bulls have only made the playoffs once, in 2022, with a first-round elimination.

“We tried to give the best we could and nobody wanted to lose. We manage with the cards we have and try to use them as well as possible. We succeeded. I loved every moment here. I remain a fan of this team, of this franchise, except when I play against them. There is only love »assures Zach Lavin, who is delighted “look how good the bulls are now”.

The franchise wasn’t alone in saluting its former All-Star. A former teammate did it too. “I paid tribute to him. He’s a great guy.” declares Matas Bouzelis, who shared only a few matches with Zach LaVine. “He answers all my questions. He’s a great role model, my first teammate who was a superstar. He was a great leader. He’s my friend.”
