Miles Turner blasts ‘fake story’ after Tyrese Halliburton video goes viral

Social media has a way of twisting narratives around sports. yesterday, Milwaukee Bucks center Miles Turner went viral after some of his podcast comments went viral. The video shows Turner seemingly dissing ex Indiana Pacers teammate Tyrese Halliburton. After his sudden departure from the 2025 Eastern Conference champions, fans were quick to throw their hate at Turner.

“Tyreese Halliburton knows he’s protected, too,” Turner said on the “Thanalize” podcast. “To be able to go out there, talk his shit, say whatever he wants, and then know he has support. He won’t talk the same shit if he’s in the middle of the street.”

Turner walked back his comments hours after the video went viral. The Bucks star understands that now there’s kind of a rivalry after he left the Pacers, but he wants fans to know that he has nothing but love for Halliburton.

“Man I know it’s fun to hate me Rn for rivalry and tools but don’t let this clip ag culture get to me and @Hally went to war together 3 years and he’s a nun but she elevated my career.

Turner and Haliburton have been teammates since 2022, when the star guard was traded to the Pacers from the Sacramento Kings. It was at Indiana where Halliburton broke out as one of the game’s best running backs. The quarterback made a name for himself as a crafty passer, and Turner was one of his favorite targets in the game.

Together, Turner and Haliburton pulled off a shocking upset in the NBA Finals last season. Turner was instrumental in their run through the Eastern Conference Finals, and his hot shooting was a key asset in their wins against the Bucks, Cavaliers and Knicks. The Pacers came close to a Cinderella finish in Game 7, but Haliburton’s Achilles injury early in the game ultimately spelled disaster for the team.

In the following offseason, Turner decided to sign with the Bucks in the offseason. There was a bit of controversy surrounding the signing, as Turner continues to express his displeasure with how the Pacers handled the negotiations.
