Stephen Curry reacts to Steve Kerr’s ‘0-12’ statement after loss to Bucks without Giannis

Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry answered his head coach Steve Kerr is 0-12 after Thursday’s loss to a Giannis Antetokounmpo– less Milwaukee Bucks the team. In the 120-110 victory, eight Bucks players scored in double figures, and each made at least one 3-pointer, as Milwaukee finished the night 19-for-46 from deep. Against teams playing without their leading scorer, Kerr projected the Warriors to be 0-12.

Curry replied to Kerr’s presumption in the dressing room after the defeat, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

“For us to bring that up and for him to talk about it is a coach’s worst nightmare, but it’s not like they didn’t play a hell of a game,” Curry said. “We had a lot of misses and turnovers, but we showed some fight. Enough to pull back three or four times, get the lead, and then they hit two 3-pointers. They got to within two, then they hit two 3-pointers. They just didn’t do enough to get over the hump.”

Ryan Rollins’ 32 points, including five three-pointers, eight assists and three rebounds, led the Bucks. Myles Turner finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one block. Cole Anthony led the bench with 16 points, Gary Trent Jr. added 13 points and four steals, and Bobby Portis chipped in a dozen points.

Warriors All-Stars Stephen Curry (27), Jonathan Cummings (24) and Jimmy Butler (23) combined for 74 points, including 7-for-16 from deep, but couldn’t stop Milwaukee’s offensive rhythm in a 10-point loss.

After The Bucks beat the Warriors without Giannis AntetokounmpoWarriors coach Steve Kerr revealed that this scenario played out more than once, and the team, as Stephen Curry reminded everyone, was warned. When Antetokounmpo went down late, the Warriors naturally had to change their game plan.

Still, the Bucks beat the Warriors without their star player, which is an accomplishment happened a dozen times over the years, Kerr said, as noted by The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

“We’ve gone like 0-12 the last few years when opponents sit their stars,” Kerr said.

The Warriors will look to bounce back when they face the Pacers on Saturday.
