In Milwaukee, the Kings offer their first road success

Kings vs. BucksFirst away win of the season for Sacramentoawarded for his full match Milwaukee. In turn, Dennis Schroeder (24 points, 7 assists), DeMar DeRozan (29 points), Zach LaVine (31 points) and Domantas Sabonis (24 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists) allowed the Kings to overcome the troops of Giannis Antetokounmpo (26 points, 18 assists and a sufficient lead until the end).

Everything started well for the Bucks, the authors of 47 points in the first quarter, where the deficit increased to +15 after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dunk (35-20). The home team still had +14 at the start of the second quarter after a good relay by Bobby Portis (59-45). Then the Kings gradually took control of the match, relying on all their leaders.

13-0 for a perfect record

After Zach LaVine’s three-pointer and DeMar DeRozan’s 2+1, Domantas Sabonis scored twice at the rim, and the Schroeder-LaVine pair closed the second quarter with two 3-point shots. In an instant, Sacramento had just erased its deficit (71-70).

The two friends started again with threes as soon as they returned from the locker room, and the appearance of the match completely changed. Sacramento scored 13-0 with two new arrows from distance from Zach LaVine, and it was Milwaukee who fell behind by the score (83-94).

Gary Trent Jr. and Bobby Portis answered twice with 3-pointers, and then Kyle Kuzma caught fire, scoring 18 points in a row! His incredible streak allowed the Bucks to get back to -6, on a magnificent mid-range basket from their luxury sixth man (116-122).

Giannis Antetokounmpo lacks lucidity at the end

Giannis Antetokounmpo took a 3-pointer, a left-handed dunk, two free throws, another dunk in transition, and then a perfect layup for Myles Turner’s 3-pointer in the corner (132-133). Again, crazy sequence that put pressure on the Kings.

Facing the Bucks’ zone defense, DeMar DeRozan took charge in the mid-range, but missed the mark. In transition, Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to play the shot all the way, but missed the pass after running into Domantas Sabonis.

Upon arrival, Dennis Schroeder had the composure necessary to make his two free throws (132-135), completing a perfect 10/10 for the Kings in the “money time” drill. Despite a last-ditch attempt to tie the game in the last second after AJ Green’s missed shot, Sacramento secured the victory (133-135).

WHAT TO REMEMBER

– Kings have weapons. Waiting for the return of Keegan Murray, the Schroeder-DeRozan-LaVine-Sabonis quartet showed strength in this match. Between the work Domantas Sabonis can do near the rim, with his 6 offensive rebounds in particular, and his finishing qualities, DeMar DeRozan’s valuable mid-range prowess, and studs like Dennis Schroder and Zach LaVine, the Kings have the resources.

– Excerpt from Kyle Kuzma. 18 points in a row! By the time Milwaukee apparently dived, the inside of a chained basket like pearls to maintain suspense. An exceptional flash passage that shows his talent… but also that he can do more, and regularly. With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Myles Turner, Bobby Portis and himself, Milwaukee still has to find the best formula.

– Double-double from Russell Westbrook. 4/14 shooting, 0/5 with 3 points including the “air ball”, but also good passes, especially at the end of the match when he scored important baskets, and a double-double in the finish (12 points, 10 assists), his first in new colors.

– The return of Maxime Renault. We haven’t seen the French interior on the floors since “The Opening”. He has to be satisfied with 4 minutes and 1 rebound. His competitor Drew Eubanks, on the other hand, scored points by shooting a perfect 5/6 in 11 minutes (10 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist).
