Robert Saleh had a big fan moment with Jackson Dart of the Giants
Jackson Dart has become one of the most popular players in the NFL. Despite being a beginner, New York Giants the quarterback has gained a ton of fans because of his personality and fearless style of play. As it turns out, even the other teams’ coaches are big Dart fans, including San Francisco 49ers defense coordinator Robert Saleh.
After the 49ers’ win over the Giants in Week 9, Saleh and Dart had a moment. According to reporter Jordan Raanan, Saleh approached the newcomer, with the secret part of George Kittle soon after. Both Saleh and Kittle are Dart fans.
“Postgame scene: Jackson Dart walks out of interview,” Raanan posted on X. “This could be close to an hour into the game. 49ers DC Robert Saleh stops him. They hug. Saleh is a big fan, by the way. 49ers TE George Kittle is also there with his wife. Clearly, Dart played with respect.”
The The 49ers made quick work of the Giants in Week 9. After a brutal upset of the Houston Texans last week, San Francisco put the pedal to the metal against New York and never let up. The 34-24 score showed just how big a blow this was, as San Francisco led big time in the fourth quarter.
In view of that, the game looked close thanks to Jackson Dart’s effort. Despite the big loss to the 49ers, the Giants quarterback didn’t let up. The two touchdowns in the fourth quarter at least gave New York a glimpse of Dart’s potential and the courage to overcome the bad games his team will inevitably have.
As for the 49ers, the win helped keep their playoff chances alive this season. Wins by the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams mean the division title is still a little out of reach. However, their Wild Card chances are still in good shape.
