Myles Turner reunites with former teammates before Bucks game



The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA world in the offseason when they made not one, but two surprising moves. The former decided to waive Damian Lillard and the latter did signing big man Myles Turner in free agency. Myles Turner’s move was probably the most shocking considering how endearing the former lottery pick was Indiana Pacers organization and fan base.

Myles Turner is back in Indiana on Monday for the first time as a member of the Bucks and while he could catch up some of his former teammates, his reception from Pacers fans was a a mixture of cheering and waking. The Pacers also honored Turner with a touching tribute video chronicling his time with the franchise.

The 11th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Turner spent the first ten years of his career with the Pacers. During that time, he endured multiple trade rumors each season and even re-signed a contract extension after the 2022-23 season.

Turner holds Pacers career averages of 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.2 blocks on 49.9 percent shooting from the field, 36.2 percent from the three-point line and 77.1 percent from the free throw line.

As the 2025-26 season has begun, Turner has appeared in six games for the Bucks coming into Monday’s game, logging just over 28 minutes per game. In his career, he recorded an average of 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 blocked shots, with a share of 39.3 percent shooting from the field, 34.4 percent from the three-point line and 50 percent from the free throw line.

As of publication, the Pacers and Bucks were tied near the end of the first half, and Turner had seven points, two rebounds and three blocked shots in just over 17 minutes of action. He shot 2-of-3 from the field, with both shots coming from three-point range, and 1-of-2 from the free throw line.
