Myles Turner reveals ‘disheartening’ feeling after Indiana’s whistle

Milwaukee Bucks center Miles Turner he was serenaded by the Boos in his first return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday when they faced his former team, Indiana Pacers.
Like their past battles, the game went down to the wire. The Bucks ran away with the win, 117-115 Giannis Antetokounmpo sank the game winner on the breakaway.
Turner had nine points, seven rebounds and five blocks in 32 minutes. He scored just once in the second half, but it was the key, giving the Bucks a two-point lead, 111-109, with just 2:22 left in the fourth quarter.
After the game, the 29-year-old center opened up about the rough reception from fans in Indiana.
“It’s been disheartening, man. Frustrating. You give 10 years of your life, your blood, your sweat, your tears, take a pay cut, survive trade rumors, try to do everything the right way, sometimes, a lot of things shake out, you know, that’s cool. I’ll take it on the chin,” Turner said on New TV’s VISH taping.
“I think a lot of people are going to say I said things. I think a lot of people want to formulate their own narratives, spin them into what they want to be. It is what it is, man. You move on.”

The Pacers drafted Turner with the 11th overall pick in 2015. He quickly became the team’s primary big man, twice leading the NBA in blocks. He’s helped Indiana make deep runs in recent years, including a run to the NBA Finals last season.
He said he wanted to stick with the Pacers, who are currently hampered by injuries, during his free action. But when he felt he wasn’t valued enough by the team, he decided to leave and signed a four-year, $107 million contract with the Bucks.
