Billy Donovan gives a loose timeline for Kobe White’s injuries

on tuesday, Chicago Bulls they got good news and bad news. The good news is yes Coby White, who is out with a calf injury is he is expected to return soonaccording to Will Gottlieb of CHGO Bulls.

According to the coach Billy DonovanWhite participated in running and conditioning drills. However, Bell will be given extra time to make sure he is up to par.

“Hopefully in a few weeks he’ll be playing,” Donovan said.

On the other hand, the Bulls were dealt a blow by Ayo Dosunmu it will be outside Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Drew Stevens of Biggs Media. Originally, Dosunmu is listed as suspicious due to contusion of the left quadrilateral. Last week, Dosunmu did not play on the road against the New York Knicks. Dosunmu is off to a great start, averaging 16.2 points per game.

In August, White injured his calf during practice. Before the presidential session, White was expected to come out at the beginning which was the case. During his absence, the Bulls are off to a 5-1 start. Their 5-0 start was their best since the 1996-1997 championship season in which they started 12-0.

Last season, White had his best season in Chicago. In total, he averaged 20.4 points, 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds. Currently, White is completing the third and final year of his $36 million contract signed in 2023. After that, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Chicago will be glad to have Kobe White back

As a strong offensive presence, White has become a focal point for the Bulls since 2019. In addition, he has become a fan favorite due to his talent and personality. As a result, he will receive a warm welcome from teammates and fans upon his return, which is an understatement.

Certainly, the Bulls are playing extremely well early on without him. But when he returns, Chicago’s backfield will be complete and essentially stronger. White plus Josh Giddei plus Matas Bouzelis is a pretty good combination, especially considering how well they play.

The concern will be how to get White back into the fold and continue the momentum. In other words, will it be sluggish at first and disrupt the flow. However, with how well Gidi, Bouzelis and others are playing, they could take the pressure off White and allow him to relax.

Regardless of how things play out, the Bulls will be back to normal with the running backs.
