Sophie Cunningham reveals the Sydney Sweeney NASCAR conversation
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham didn’t break the internet, but her picture with star actress Sidney Sweeney during a NASCAR event got a lot of traction—unintentionally.
Cunningham and Sweeney were at Phoenix Speedway Sunday to catch the NASCAR Cup Series championship finale. The star of the fever couldn’t help but admire the actress of “Euphoria” and shared his picture on Ks with a rather cheeky caption.
In the latest episode on her podcast, “Show Me Something,” the 29-year-old shooter revealed what she and 28-year-old Sweeney discussed.
“We only talked for a minute or two. It was really quick because everyone was like celebrities and VIPs, and we were all doing our own thing. So it was really quick like, ‘Hey, how are you? Nice to meet you.’ Like, ‘big fan, big fan.’ All those things,” Cunningham said.
When asked if Sweeney knew her, Cunningham was honest with her answer.
“I don’t know. You know how everybody, when you’re around everybody, like, (it’s all) love,” the former Missouri standout added.
“Yeah, like I don’t know. But (she was) super nice. So we just got a quick picture and it was fun.”

Sweeney, who has also starred in movies like “Anyone But You” and “The Voieurs,” was spotted watching a game between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets in January. Maybe she could attend the fever game next year.
Cunningham, for his part, continues to enjoy the offseason while recovering from an MCL injury that limited her to 30 games in her first season with the Fever. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals while shooting career highs of 46.9% from the field and 43.2% from long range.
Indiana advanced to the semifinals, but lost to the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces in five games.
