Malik Beazley forced to wait in China?
Still without a contract for this NBA season, Malik Beasley several European and Chinese clubs are interested!
According to BasketNewsteams offered him a short contract with a clause that allows him to easily return to the NBA. Even if the 28-year-old shortstop is still pushing for an immediate return to the big leagues.
Malik Beasley came off the season averaging 16.3 points and helped the Pistons climb off the bottom of the league, finishing second for Sixth Man of the Year. He was expected to sign with Detroit this summer for $42 million over three years, but the deal was canceled after questionable bets on his performance were discovered, and the FBI investigation remains ongoing…
Lawyers for the former Nuggets, Wolves, Jazz, Lakers and Bucks player assured that he is no longer a target of the federal judiciary, but he has not been formally approved, and the NBA franchises interested in his services (Cleveland, New York, Minnesota and Detroit) therefore undoubtedly prefer to wait before signing him.
There is no question for them to find themselves in a position where the Heat have no visibility for Terry Rozier.
Malik Beasley posted a message on Instagram on Oct. 28, arguing “one of the hardest times” his career and reminding that he simply wants to “play basketball”. In China, where could he stay in shape, top up his bank account and await the final results of the FBI investigation?
