Nikola Vucevic issued a cautionary warning to Chicago about a 24-point comeback against the 76ers

on tuesday, Chicago Bulls pulled out all the stops and came back from 24 points down to beat the Philadelphia 76ers. What sealed the deal was a Nikola Vucevic’s triple with 3.2 seconds left, which gave the Bulls a 113-111 victory.

After that, Vučević was obviously happy in the triumph, but also provided some much needed contextaccording to Cody Westerlund of 670 The Score.

“It shows the resilience we have, the belief we have, the unity we have,” Vucevic said.

“It’s also important that we understand that this is not how you become a good team if you’re down 20 and then wake up and finally start playing.”

Bulls head coach Billy Donovan expressed those same sentiments. Basically, he was saying they shouldn’t have been 24 points down. In the future, he expects certain areas to be cleaned.

“We have to get our bodies in place,” he said. “We have to be more physical.”

He also emphasized, “We have to put our bodies in. We have to rebound collectively. We have to rebound collectively. We have to share the ball and we have to run.”

As a result, Chicago is off to a 6-1 start. They are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference standings. A far cry from the team that finished 39-43 last year and failed to make the playoffs.

What’s the secret behind the Bulls’ early success?

Overall, the Bulls are a young team under a bit of pressure, considering their position in the bottom tier of the NBA. Basically, they can draw on the best in each other and just go out and play.

In the process, they saw some great early performances from players like Josh Giddei and Matas Bouzelis.

Gidi is averaging 23.1 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.1 assists so far. He is on Tuesday had a triple-double of 29 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. Meanwhile, Bouzelis is averaging 14.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

He finished with 10 points and five rebounds against the 76ers. Both collectively led the backfield early on without Kobe White and Ayo Dosunmu.

Additionally, their bench has improved immeasurably with Kevin Huerter, Jalen Smith and Patrick Williams coming in to provide great relief.

We still have a long season ahead of us, but so far it couldn’t have been better.
