Is Al Horford washed up? Steve Kerr defiantly promises
Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors dropped their fourth game in five in a 121-116 loss to the Sacramento Kings, while Al HorfordOffensive struggles from the bench continued. He finished the game scoreless on 0-for-8 attempts, including seven missed 3-pointers. After Jonathan Kuminga has earned the Warriors starting centerHorford, along with Buddy Hield, anchored Kerr’s second unit.
After the Warriors’ loss to the Kings on Wednesday, Kerr discussed Horford bench shotno worries about shooting battles. Kerr is confident Al will turn things around, ESPN’s Anthony Slater said.
“I thought Al played a great basketball game tonight. The ball didn’t go in. He hit all the right shots. Everybody looked good. He’s going to go in. He’s Al Horford,” Kerr said. “We know what kind of shooter he is. His defensive presence and his rebounding — he’s a hell of a player. Slow start for him. To be expected, honestly, when you go to a new team. I’m not worried about Al at all.”
Al Horford is 5 of 24 from 3 six games into his tenure with the Warriors. He missed all seven tonight.

Kerr’s only advice to the veteran center is to “keep playing.” Things should turn around soon as Al Horford adjusts to his new environment with the Warriors.
Draymond Green on Steve Kerr’s potential departure from the Warriors

In the midst of the final season of Warriors head coach Steve Kerr’s contract, veteran Draymond Green weighed in on a potential departure. Green wants to be a coach only from Kerr and I can’t imagine playing for anyone else.
Green discussed what could be Kerr’s final season, according to Sam Amick of the Athletics.
“Steph has already said publicly that he doesn’t want to play for another coach,” Green said. “I struggle with change. I hate change. I’m very much (the type of person who) this happens and that’s it. To try to change it, my brain just doesn’t work well. But I don’t sit and think about it because I don’t foresee Steve going anywhere.”
For Green, there’s still a lot of work to do.
“I don’t think we’re done. I think we’ve got a lot more to give,” Green said. “We all did this together, so I don’t foresee him going anywhere anyway. But I really want to finish this thing with the people I went through it with.”
The Warriors will face the Nuggets in the NBA playoffs on Friday.
