Bo Nick, JK Dobbins play offensively despite TNF’s win
The The Denver Broncos are 8-2 on the season after beating the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 in a Week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup. It was a close one that keeps Denver at the head of the pack in the AFC. However, quarterback Bow Nix and quarterback JK Dobbins i don’t seem to like how close some of these wins have been for this team.
Despite an 8-2 record, Nix and Dobbins appear to be frustrated with offensive productionaccording to ESPN’s Jeff Legvold. The 25-year-old quarterback took the blame as he hopes the offense can start putting more points on the board in the near future.
“At some point, we’ve got to start moving the ball and scoring some points,” Nix said. “Between penalties and sluggish football, we’re just not playing well. It starts with me. I have to be better… We have to find juice.”
Dobbins, 26, credits the defense with keeping the Broncos competitive. The fifth-year pro admits he feels bad about how the offense is playing, considering the defense is playing at an elite level.
“Yeah, great, we’re 8-2 … (but) defense is winning us games and we’re not helping them. We’re not doing them justice,” Dobbins said. “I feel bad for the way we’re playing offense and the way they’re playing defense because they’re doing so great and we’re doing so bad. And they’re our brothers, and it’s just crap because they’re out there making so many plays and making plays. We can’t do this to them.”
Six of eight Broncos wins they had one possession, with four of them three points or less. Thursday night’s win also marked the third time this season that the offense did not score 19 or more points. Let’s hope the Broncos fix their offensive issues quickly as Denver is set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11.
