Dallas dealt another injury blow against the Grizzlies

The Dallas Mavericks lost a key frontcourt player Friday night matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. That player was a veteran center Daniel Gafford.
Gafford is in his seventh year in the NBA, his third with the Mavericks. However, this season he was included and out of the team’s rotation due to minor injuries that kept him on the sidelines. Before Friday’s game, he had appeared in just three of the team’s seven contests.
Gafford’s Injury problems resurfaced during the game against the Grizzlies, according to reporter Joey Mistretta. He suffered pain in his right ankle, which will cause him to miss the rest of the competition.
“Daniel Gafford (right ankle soreness) will not return for the Grizzlies-Mavericks game,” Mistretta wrote.
