The Celtics resisted the opponent’s triple well, especially when Jaylen Brown scored 16 points in the third quarter, until the last act. “I missed some good shots in the fourth quarter because my feet weren’t in the right position. Then it turned into loose balls and the Magic scored.”he points out.
The leader of the Celtics had only two free throws in this meeting and none in the last quarter. At the same time, Orlando had 14 attempts in the last twelve minutes, for 11 successes.
“I have the feeling that they grabbed me, pushed me, tried to balance me”analyzes Jailen Brown on the Magic’s defensive stance. “Maybe I hung on the 3-pointer and I should have gone to the basket a little more. But if we go in and don’t get the whistle, then it looks like a bad possession. I tried to get free throws.”
Does he think that he somehow paid, in this match, for his remarks about the referees at the beginning of the week, who thus decided not to give him a gift? “All I have to say is I’ll keep my mouth shut” repeats the 2024 NBA champion.
