Why Josh Giddy’s ankle injury isn’t considered serious

on monday, Chicago Bulls they were shared a blow. Josh Giddeiwho andinjured his ankle against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he will be listed as out for the game against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Will Gottlieb of the CHGO Bulls.

Gidi injured his ankle on Saturday due to a a massive crossover would De’Andre Hunter that became the focal point of the 128-122 loss. However, the head coach of the Bulls Billy Donovan remains an optimist on Giddy’s recovery as Chicago travels to Detroit to face the Pistons on Wednesday.

“With what we have today comes and then Detroit, and then there’s a few days, I just think he didn’t feel great today, and we’ll see how he feels when we get to Detroit. I don’t think it’s going to be longer than that after the Detroit game. That’s my guess. We don’t feel like it’s too bad. It was a little bit sore after the game. Uncomfortable today during the taping.”

Coach Billy Donovan doesn’t anticipate Josh Giddes being out longer than Wednesday’s game at Detroit.

This is a temporary setback for Gidi, who started well. Overall, he is averaging 21.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 9.3 assists. Additionally, this is Giddei’s first season proving he’s worthy of it a four-year, $100 million contract he signed.

With Josh Giddei out, expect Matas Bouzelis to step up.

A big part of the reason the Bulls are 6-3 is Giddy’s play. At the same time, second-year guard Matas Bouzelis was able to complement Giddy’s game. Both have found a way to match up, mostly when the offensive scheme allows for running the ball and spacing the floor.

As a result, it creates opportunities for each of them to score. Also, Gidi could join Bouzelis for a slam in transition. Additionally, Bouzelis will start against the Spurs on Monday. However, he will likely be the guy to design the offense and rightfully so.

It is fast, fluid and dynamic. Additionally, Bouzelis can shoot the ball from anywhere on the floor and can go to the hole. If he can prove that he can defend, then he can start to emerge as a complete player.

Monday will be Bouzelis’ chance to really prove that he can make it himself.
