Victor Wembanyama moves up on the NBA’s all-time list with a block against the Bulls

That’s it Victor Vembanyama‘s world now, and nobody can do anything about it.

Vembanyama looked to continue his stellar campaign on monday, like San Antonio Spurs visited the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The ultra-talented center has been on a rampage in his third year in the NBA, proving to everyone that he’s not just a skinny secondary for fans to look up to.

In the first quarter against the Bulls, Wembanjama achieved another personal feat after recording his 95th consecutive game with a block. He passed former NBA star Mark Eaton for the third longest streak in league history.

Bulls forward Matas Bouzelis thought he had an open layup angle, but the 7-foot-4 Vembanjama easily deflected the blow.

Somewhere out there, some monks in China are cheering.

Even before playing against Chicago, Wembanyama was already leading the league in blocks with 3.8 per game. He also averaged 24.3 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals.

If the MVP trophy were handed out today, he would be the frontrunner to win it, having led the Spurs to a 7-2 record.

Many forget that Vembanjame is only 21 years old. He’s still trying to figure things out and fully grow into his frame. After recovering from a career-threatening shoulder injury that limited him to just 46 games last season, The Spurs star admitted that he will not take his career for granted.

Just imagine what he could do five years from now. That’s a scary thought.

As of this writing, the Spurs trail the Bulls at halftime, 64-63. Vembanjama has already recorded 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and four blocks.
