Brandon Ingram was fined $25,000 for the sideline charge
Brandon Ingram got some consequences for his poor behavior on the court during one of the Toronto Raptors games this season.
Ingram is in his 10th NBA season, his second with the Raptors. This campaign marks his first official appearance for Toronto, as injuries kept him out of action for the team last season.
However, he got into hot water in one game. During their loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on November 8, Ingram expressed his frustrations both verbally and physically. As he sat on the bench, he took his water bottle and threw it on the hardwood. This led to the bottle exploding and water splashing on people in the area.
League took note of this as they made their punishment for Ingram official, according to NBA insider Brett Siegel.
“The NBA fined Raptors forward Brandon Ingram $25,000 for violently throwing a water bottle on the floor. Ingram’s outburst on the sideline occurred on Nov. 8 against the 76ers,” Siegel wrote.

What’s next for Brandon Ingram, Raptors

Brandon Ingram may have frustrations with his performance issues during games. However, he cannot have that result in throwing water bottles that can hit one or more people. That’s a lesson he’ll have to learn from because the NBA made it clear with the punishment.
Despite the incident, Ingram has played at a solid level for the Raptors this season. He is averaging 21 points, 6.3 rebounds and four assists per game. He is shooting 51% from the field, including 31.7% from beyond the arc and 90.2% from the free throw line.
Toronto is off to a decent start to the 2025-26 season. They are 5-5 after 10 games, holding eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics while trailing the 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
The Raptors will continue preparations for their next match. They hit the road when they face the Brooklyn Nets on November 11th at 7:30pm ET.
