Desmond Bain walks away from the Blazers with a crazy game winner

It was a challenging season for Desmond Bane as it continues to adapt in his first stint with the Orlando Magicwhich made his cold-blooded game-winner on Monday feel extremely good.
Bain lifted the Magic over the Portland Trail Blazers, 115-112, at the Kia Center after draining an offensive three-pointer as time expired.
Orlando tied the game at 112-112 with five seconds left in the contest on a layup by Paolo Banchero. Portland then turned the ball over and Banchero stole the ball from Jrue Holiday with 1.9 left, setting up Bain to go bin despite a tough challenge from Danny Avdia.
Bain has experienced a dip in production since joining the Magic via a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies in the offseason. Many faulted the deal, as Orlando gave up a ton of future draft picks for a good quarterback.
Before facing the Trail Blazers, the 27-year-old Bain was averaging just 12.3 shots per game, his second-lowest total since his freshman year. With Buncher, Franz Wagner and Jaylen Suggs also in the fold, Bain was forced to share the touches.
Although he said nothing about his reduced role, the game-winner it should only boost Bane’s morale. They improved it to 5-6.
He finished with 22 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Banchero led the way with 28 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr. each added 19 points.
Bane will go on to lead his first drive in Orlando, and fans are hoping that the team really made the right decision in getting him.
