Fans are in an uproar over a potential trade of Bulls Anthony Davis to the Mavericks

On Tuesday morning, Finally, the Dallas Mavericks pulled the plug on The Nico Harrison Experimentfiring the general manager who infamously traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers nine months ago. The Mavericks are off to a terrible start this season, currently 3-8 with Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving out of the lineup.

With the Harrison news now official, many are expecting it more moves could be on the horizon for Chicago, including some that potentially involve their roster.

Recently, SB Nation’s Ricky O’Donnell proposed a trade that would send Anthony Davis and Brandon Williams to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic, Kobe White, Jalen Smith and two first-round picks in the next two drafts.

“Here’s my suggested Anthony Davis to the Bulls trade. I don’t like it because I think AD is broken, but it’s really just one true first + Kobe to upgrade from Vooch to Davis. He might go for more than this, but as the text states, it’s hard to find many suitors,” wrote O’Donnell, a former X Twitterer.

Interesting idea for the Bulls

The Chicago Bulls quickly fell back to Earth after their hot start, now three-game losing streaks, but they remain one of the early surprises of the 2025-26 NBA season, thanks in large part to the play of Josh Giddy, Matas Buzzelis and other members of their young core.

If Anthony Davis were able to stay healthy in a Chicago uniform (which history shows he wouldn’t), the Bulls could theoretically rise to quasi-contender status in the Eastern Conference, though they’d still likely be a few versatile wings away from truly competing with teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers or New York.

Either way, it remains to be seen if the Mavericks will seriously look into trading Davis or any of their other players amid the current turmoil.
