Here we go again. Bradley Beal’s injury update adds to LA’s woes

on monday, The Los Angeles Clippers are down to 3-7 in the young 2025-26 NBA season with a frustrating home loss to the Atlanta Hawks. It was another loaded injury report for the Clippers in this one, with both Kawhi Leonard and Bradley Beal are sitting out because of his illnesses.
On Tuesday, Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue he didn’t really have positive update on Beal’s status moving forward.
“Bradley Beal underwent tests to determine the severity of his hip injury. When I asked if there was concern about Beal’s injury, Tyronn Lue said, ‘Yes,'” Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints reported on X, formerly Twitter.
“T Lue said there is concern that Bradley Beal’s injury will keep him out for multiple games,” Sports Illustrated’s Joey Lin added.
Beal hasn’t exactly had a great start to his tenure with the Clippers so far, but he still figures to be a key part of the rotation moving forward, able to provide Los Angeles with some spacing and microwave points at times while matching up against weaker opposition defenders.
Still, injuries have been a major issue for the Clippers since acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the 2019 offseason, and even dating back to the days of Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. While it’s still obviously very early in the season, the Clippers certainly can’t afford to lose too much ground in the crowded Western Conference, considering they’re already four games below the .500 mark.
The good news for the Clippers is that James Harden continues to play at an All-Star caliber, registering a triple-double of 36 points on Monday night, but it won’t matter if he doesn’t get adequate support.
The Clippers will next take the floor on Wednesday night at home against the Denver Nuggets in a rematch of the playoffs.
