Jaylen Green will miss a number of weeks with a hamstring injury

The The Phoenix Suns were one of the surprise teams in the NBA so far this year, they currently sit at 6-5, despite being projected by many to be among the worst teams in the league this year. On Monday night, the Suns scored 42 points by Grayson Allen in a huge win over the New Orleans Pelicans to go over the .500 mark on the season.
He was out of the squad for that game Jalen Greenwho missed the first few games of the season, took the field once and has been sidelined since with a hamstring injury. On Tuesday, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania rejected the latest update about Green’s status moving forward, and it’s not one that will be encouraging for Suns fans.
“Phoenix Suns guard Jaylen Green will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks with right hamstring strain, sources tell ESPN,” Charania reported on X, formerly Twitter.
Green, of course, was the key piece the Suns brought back during the offseason in the Kevin Durant trade to the Houston Rockets. While Green had a poor showing in last year’s playoffs against the Golden State Warriors, he remains a talented young guard with theoretical room to grow and a great teammate to learn from in Suns All-Star Devin Booker.
Losing him for the next month or more will certainly be a blow to a Phoenix team looking to raise eyebrows in the Western Conference this year.
Next up for the Suns is a road game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
