The mascot does everything to avoid falling victim to Jailen Brown’s hair
Earlier this week, The Philadelphia 76ers picked themselves up a narrow 7-4 win over the Boston Celtics in the young 2025-26 NBA season. The 76ers have played slightly better than expected this year, largely due to their backcourt play Tyrese McKay duo and VJ Edgecombe, as well as other young players like Justin Edwards making unexpected contributions.
Going up against the Celtics (astonishingly for the third time this year) of course meant going against Boston’s star Jailen Brownwho has recently become a meme for his tendency to accidentally stain opponents’ jerseys with his hairspray, which has already happened twice this season.
In response, the 76ers mascot was seen walking onto the court at one point during the game, and then quick backup he once saw Brown in a hilarious moment.

The first incident where fans noticed Brown’s hair spray was against the New York Knicks a few weeks ago, when the ink was clearly visible on the jersey of New York forward OG Anunoby. This sparked a series of memes on social media, as well as heat from everyone, including the Celtics’ own team announcer during the live telecast.
Unfortunately for Brown, it doesn’t look like the taunting will end anytime soon.
Hot start for the 76ers

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have had a strong start to the season and hope to remain strong in their position near the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
McKay has been on fire since the start of the campaign, and Edgecome hasn’t been far behind, emerging as one of the early contenders for the Rookie of the Year award.
Either way, the 76ers will next take the floor on Friday night against the Detroit Pistons.
