The Knicks are overcoming the absences of Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby
Before facing the heat, Nix knew that Jalen Brunson would be taken away injured right ankle against Magic. However, what they didn’t imagine was losing And the Anunobi broke his left hamstring after only five minutes of play.
Everything was getting a little more complicated for New York. But this team has resources, starting with Karl-Anthony Towns, the author of 31 points in the first period!
“Brunson wasn’t there and we all had to step up and do our part. So I wanted to do my best offensively.”, relate to interior, which will finish with 39 points. “I did a good job of that in the first half. Sophomore year I tried not to push it. I let the game come to me and Landry Shamet had a lot to do with that.”
Let people forget those who are absent
Marksman took over Karl-Anthony Towns, scored 30 points on a great 10/14 shooting after the break, in this win against the Heat.
“What makes this group unique is that we have a lot of players who just want to win”describes Landry Shamet, who signs a career high with 36 points. “We lost Jalen then OG and everybody chipped in. This is our mentality and we’ll continue to have it. A lot of teams talk about it, but this group really embodies it. And we’re going to keep it going.”
We can also add the efforts of Josh Hart, with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. With that, the defeat against the Magic is forgotten and the Knicks, certainly diminished, can keep up with the Pistons. Eastern Conference Leaders and they too are deprived of several important elements.
“One player goes down, another one appears, and I don’t know who that player is”summarized by Mike Brown. “In no case could I say that some people will win as many points as they did. We have a standard and everyone has accepted it, adopted it.”
