Stephen A. Smith attacks state trooper for Nick Harbor interaction

After watching Texas Soldier running into Nick Harbor and then handing it to the South Carolina wide receiver after scoring an 80-yard touchdown against Texas A&M, Stephen A. Smith I couldn’t wait until Monday to comment on the situation.
Taking to social media to discuss the situation, the ESPN personality held nothing back, slamming the cop for interfering with the player he was supposed to protect, a fact that should have been obvious, given that Harbor and his teammates were all in uniform.
“This is a no-brainer to me. South Carolina’s Nick Harbor catches a pass, runs down the field for a damn long touchdown run. He runs into the tunnel because he’s holding a hamstring, and then his teammates come over to help him because they know something must be wrong because he kept going in there and he could see his shoulder blade coming back into the office. Two players and he literally runs into both of them and folds his arms before turning around and telling them to get out of here and all this stuff,” Smith stated.
“We’ve seen it. It’s clear as day. It’s an automatic suspension. The man shouldn’t be allowed to work the game again. Why do you mess with a player like that? Wasn’t there somebody in street clothes who you didn’t know was a player. You knew exactly who it was. You knew it was a player for South Carolina. You knew it. You didn’t mean anything here anyway. There was no argument. The justification for the officer’s conduct should no longer be suspended.
Fortunately, according to Stephen A. Smith, the officer was “relieved of duty on match day” and will not be doing future Texas A&M games, or any other college football games, anytime soon.
