Golden State: Draymond Green confronts fan for ‘calling me a woman’
The fan, Sam Green, said he chanted WNBA forward Angel Reese’s name on the offensive line because he had several opportunities to make a rebound but had yet to make a shot.
“I didn’t use any profanity, and for him to go 12 feet off the field to come and get in my face like that, it was a little upsetting,” Sam Green said.
The fan was given a warning by stewards but was allowed to remain in his front row seat.
“He was talking at first,” said Draymond Green, who was fined $25,000 (£19,000) for “directing foul language” at a fan in 2022.
“Then you get a little closer and he didn’t say much more. But it’s okay. Let’s move on.”
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he did not know what was said during the altercation.
As long as it doesn’t escalate,” Kerr said.
“It’s fine to go and talk. I didn’t have a problem with it, but it would have been nice if security had arrived a little earlier.”
