Kobe White has already ruled out the Nuggets game after the loss to the Jazz

Chicago Bulls guard Kobe White finally made his debut in the 2025-26 NBA season on Sunday during a road game against the Utah Jazz. The former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard missed Chicago’s first 11 games of the campaign with a calf injury, but looked decent against the Jazz, though the Bulls ended up losing the game in double overtime, 150-147.

White, Chicago’s first-round pick in the 2019 NBA draft, had a minute limit for the Jazz at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, but clearly exceeded that, playing a total of 30 minutes. In his time on the floor, White led the Bulls with 27 points to go along with eight assists and four rebounds, along with a steal. He shot just 5-for-14 from the field, but also made all 14 of his attempts from the foul line.

The Bulls are scheduled to face the Denver Nuggets in the Mile High City this Monday night, but White will is not available to participate in that competition.

“Kobe White said he felt stronger as the game went on and that the doctor who cleared him for exceeding the minutes limit has already told him he won’t play in Denver,” shared KC Johnson of the Chicago Sports Network via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

It will be interesting to see what backcourt configuration the Bulls will have against Nikola Jokic and the Bulls. Tre Jones missed the Jazz game with an ankle problem, but Josh Giddy has ended his two game absence when he got dressed in Utah.

Either way, the Bulls are looking to stop the bleeding, having lost all of their last five games to fall to 6-6 after starting the season with six wins in seven games.
