De’Aaron Fox highlights a wild win against the Grizzlies with a windmill dunk



The San Antonio Spurs they were dealt a huge blow after it was announced Victor Wembanyama will be sidelined for several weeks due to calf strain. San Antonio had a phenomenal campaign with Vembanyama at the helm.

But in their first game since the unfortunate news, De’Aaron Fox and the Spurs have shown they can find other ways to win without a multi-center. They defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 111-101, at the Frost Bank Center to improve to 10-4, including 7-2 at home.

The fox put the icing on the cake with a split windmill slam from stealing Keldon Johnson.

Fox led the silver and black with 26 points, three assists and two steals. Harrison Barnes added 23 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Johnson had 18 points, seven rebounds and two steals off the bench.

The Spurs outscored the Grizzlies 25-14 in the fourth quarter to claim the win in what was a see-saw game from the start.

San Antonio was also without Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper due to hip injuries and calf strains.

Memphis, meanwhile, is without Ja Morant, who will be out for two weeks with a calf strain.

Fox missed the first few weeks of the season with a hamstring injury. His return was a welcome sight for Spurswho needs his stability and speed in the backfield. He also remains among the league’s most reliable players in the clutch.

San Antonio will return to action on Thursday against the Atlanta Hawks.
