Steve Kerr lashed out at Golden State’s opening-season schedule

The The Golden State Warriors have is off to a strong start to the 2025-26 NBA season, currently 9-6 heading into Tuesday night’s matchup against the Orlando Magic. The Warriors are currently in the midst of a long road trip, and more recently, the head coach Steve Kerr he complained about the team’s interesting schedule so far this year.

“The Miami game will be our 17th game in 29 days in 13 different cities. It was the toughest schedule I’ve ever been on in my NBA life,” Kerr said on 95.7 The Game, per Carl Rasmussen of Sports Illustrated .

The Warriors will be in first place on Tuesday, with a game against the Miami Heat coming up on Wednesday.

It’s unclear exactly what Kerr is referring to about the Warriors’ schedule being different from what every other NBA team is experiencing. In fact, last week’s schedule for the Warriors was made much easier by the fact that they played back-to-back games in San Antonio against the Spurs, meaning no travel was required for one “leg” of their road trip.

Still, Kerr has never missed an opportunity to air his displeasure over the years, and this looks like the latest example of that.

Kerr also talked about whether he might consider resting some players as part of the back-to-back.

“I think our guys held up great, but there are definitely some things to consider when it comes to this back-to-back,” Kerr said.

The Warriors have been able to get some wins of late, winning two straight over the Spurs and following that up against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Either way, the Warriors and Magic should tip things off Tuesday night at 7:00 PM ET from Orlando.
