Bill Simmons proposes a wild 3-team trade sending Zach LaVine to LA
The The Los Angeles Clippers have struggled recently, losing eight of their last nine games and are currently 4-10 in the 2025-26 NBA season. Doc James Harden did it all if he can keep Los Angeles in games, the team continues to wobble in large part due to Kawhi Leonard’s extended injury absence.
Most recently, The Ringer’s Bill Simmons floated wild trading idea that would get the Clippers some much-needed help on the perimeter.
The proposed Simmons trade would see the Sacramento Kings receive Bogdan Bogdanovic and John Collins from the Clippers, along with Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simmons. Meanwhile, Los Angeles would bring back Dario Saric and Zach LaVine from the Kings in turn, while Kings guard Malik Monk would join the Celtics.
“This is a good ‘Who Says No?’ —Clips desperate for more points, grab Avalanche —Boston gets taxed on 2 extra Monk years —Sac gets 70m expiration and summer cap,” Simmons noted on X, formerly Twitter.
While it’s hard to see this trade actually going through, Clippers fans certainly wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of adding an extra punch on the wing in the form of LaVine.
Meanwhile, the deal would also reunite Bogdanovic with his former team, the Kings, and help Boston pay the luxury tax, as Simmons mentioned.
Tough times for the Clippers

All in all, the Los Angeles Clippers couldn’t have dreamed of a worse start to the 2025-26 season than the one they’ve endured so far, and things only get worse as the schedule gets tougher.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that the Clippers will be giving their 2026 first-round draft pick to the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder, so there will be no consolation prize if their losing streak continues this year.
Either way, the Clippers will next hit the floor Thursday night on the road against the Orlando Magic.
