LaMelo Ball open for trade amid rumors of frustrations

The Charlotte Hornets and LaMelo Ball seems to be heading for a split. Bol has been battling an ankle injury this week. But now he reportedly wants out of the organization.

NBA insider Kelly Ico of Yahoo Sports published bombshell news on Thursday, all amid a slow start by the Hornets.

“Amid a rough 4-11 start, Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball is growing frustrated with the organization and is open to a trade, league sources tell Yahoo Spots,” Iko posted on social media website X, formerly Twitter.

Ball became part of a rather hilarious moment involving Kon Knuepel against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. However, his relationship with the team seems to have soured.

The 24-year-old has recently established himself as the face of “Buzz City”.

Ball arrived as the third overall pick in 2020 NBA draft — joining a class that includes Anthony Edwards, Obi Taupin and Tyrese Haliburton.

But me delved into additional reasons why Ball and Charlotte are going to pre-NBA trade deadline to move.

“Wednesday night, the former All-Star was benched for the final 4:32 of regulation in a 127-119 loss, finishing with 18 points on just 5-for-21 shooting and 6 turnovers in 27 minutes,” Ico wrote.

The sharpshooter is also experiencing a career low in field goal percentage at .385, plus a .298 3-point percentage.

He continues to drop 21.6 points per game for the Eastern Conference franchise, while also dishing out 9.6 assists (career best). But given his youth and past NBA All-Star experience, Ball is likely to draw attention on the trade market.
