LA finalizes two-way deal with NCAA legend

The Los Angeles Lakers took place this season, and things got even better when they brought back lebron james earlier in the week. They are at full strength now, but are looking to add even more talent to the roster later this latest move has been announcedaccording to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.

“The Lakers are in the process of finalizing a two-way contract with Drew Timm, league sources said ClutchPoints. LA won’t trade Nick Smith Jr., so they’ll have to give up Christian Kollock or Chris Mannon to sign Tim,” Siegel wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Timme played for the NBA G League’s South Bay Lakers and recently received Player of the Week honors. He led the South Bay Lakers to start the year 3-0 while averaging 30 points, seven rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Last season he played for the Brooklyn Nets and averaged 12.1 points and 7.2 rebounds in 28 minutes in nine games. He was then waived by the Nets in October, and then picked up by the South Bay Lakers.

Tim is mostly known for his collegiate career at Gonzaga, where he won two West Coast Conference (VCC) Player of the Year awards in 2022 and 2023 and the 2023 VCC Tournament Player of the Year award.

In just a short time, Tim has shown he can be a big contributor, and the Lakers may need him at times this season. It will be interesting to see who the Lakers decide to give up between Kollock and Manon, and it may be at whichever position they feel they have enough depth.

The Lakers have just about everything they need, and if everyone continues to play well, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they stay near the top of the Western Conference standings.
