Will the Warriors’ previous trade interest be reconsidered?

The new NBA season is a little more than a month old, and there are already trade talks Sacramento Kings All-Star Zach LaVine.
According to insider Jake Fisher, while Golden State Warriors they were interested in LaVine before they acquired Jimmy Butler last season, they were it is not currently expected to continue once again the guardian of Sacramento.
“Establishing a market for LaVine is also difficult. It took the Bulls two trade deadlines to finally find a workable deal, and I’ve been told consistently that the Kings and Golden State are the only two teams that have registered legitimate interest in moving to the three-team deal that made him a king. The Warriors eventually abandoned their interest in LaVine and now they haven’t completely abandoned LaVine’s interest.”
“Interestingly, though, I’ve heard multiple teams say LaVine’s market could really take shape if he were willing to bypass his $48.9 million player option for 2026-27 and trade it for a long-term deal with a lower annual salary.”
The Kings posted a 4-13 record to start the campaign, and could move LaVine, who averaged 21.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 15 games.
The 30-year-old can help a team closer to contention, but it doesn’t look like the Warriors are in shape.
Golden State has a 9-9 record so far, and maybe see what the team can accomplish without any additions. Even if the franchise decides to make adjustments before the trade deadline, it’s unlikely they would commit significant assets for a player like LaVine.
