Tyler Herro admits ‘long journey’ after season debut against Mavs

With Herro joins the Heat in the team’s new fast-paced offensefit in well, though it would be a slow start, going scoreless in the first quarter, missing three shots from the field. But as the game wore on, Herro found a rhythm, scoring eight points in the second quarter and then 16 in the second half, including a game-tying field goal against Dallas.

Hero is still without a three-pointer after missing three of them tonight, getting most of his baskets in the paint or in the middle, something that Bam Adebayo ClutchPoints pointed out.

“I mean, he didn’t shoot as many threes as I thought he would” Adebayo said. “He was definitely getting into the paint. And he was just playing offensively. He wasn’t doing too much; he was playing in his rhythm and he obviously came out with a great game.”
