Vic Fangio talks about Bears’ Ben Johnson before the Black Friday game

After taking a a last-second loss – literally – to the Dallas Cowboysthe Philadelphia Eagles I have to rush back to a rare edition of Friday afternoon football, saying hello Chicago Bears to Lincoln Financial Field for Amazon Prime Video’s Black Friday countdown.
A difficult task? You can bet, as a pair Vic Fangio had to give Ben Johnson and his team props to their impressive offensive schemewho captured the NFC North, during his weekly media availability session.
“A lot. It’s a great scheme. They do a great job of calling the play, mixing it up, blending their run game and their pass game,” Fangio told reporters. “They’re ranked high in a lot of areas, and I don’t think it’s by accident. They’ve got really good players, and it’s a great scheme and a great player to play.”
Asked about the dynamic element Caleb Williams leading to the Bears’ rushing attack, which the Eagles haven’t really faced recently, Fangio also gave the USC quarterback his flowers, as his ability to move was elite in 2025.
“Yeah, it’s an added dimension to their offense,” Fangio explained. “We talked about how good their offense is, and now there’s going to be plays with him where you have to defend the second play that he creates with his scrambler. He’s a high-level scrambler, he’s strong, he’s quick, he’s got good instincts when he makes the gamble. It’s tough.”
At 8-3, the Bears offense has been one of the better units in the NFL, ranking 12th in the passing game and second in rushing while averaging eighth with the most points per game with 26.3. Although the Eagles’ defense was similarly effective, allowing just 20.5 points per gameif Chicago can come up with some easy points on Link, the real question is whether the Eagles’ offense can sustain enough momentum to win the shootout, as in Week 12 they didn’t score a point in the final two and a half quarters against a Cowboys defense that again struggled for, well, almost everyone.
